60 days

I spent a wonderful weekend with a really good friend of mine from college. I love her to pieces and would do anything for her. She has been there for me through thick and think and always has the ability to always remain calm, stick to her beliefs, does not beat around the bush in conversation and though we may oppose each other on our thoughts about politics and the way the world turns we remain great friends and continue to love each other for who we are as individuals. Who could ask for more in a friend?!

She left to go back home as quick as the weekend came. Logging onto my pregnancy website I realized I am now under 60 days until our third child comes. I questions alot of things in my life. What am I going to do? HA I think thats the golden question for most adults! She and I had a lot of great conversations that keep my mind in a tail spin of what the future holds for me. I have honestly forfeited the 5 year plans for my future and gave up on trying to plan for such life term goals. I honestly do not know what the future holds.

People at work ask if I am ACTUALLY coming back to work after I have our third child. I HONESTLY do not know! The only things that I have come to terms with myself that there are really certain priorities in my life that will lead to the roads of my future.

1. My family. First and formost my family always comes first! My husband, my kids, and my extended family ensuring their emotional well being, safety, and basic needs are my number one priority.

2. My job. I love my job I really do. I love what I do but do I do what I love? That is the questions that I have to revisit every so often. I have been feeling off the beaten path lately with so many avenues place before me of having another child, finishing my MBA in May, and my husbands career.

3. My emotional health. I really do need to start to take more time out for me, to meditate, to read the Bible, open a book , something that has nothing to pertain to my job, or family obligations. The chores can wait it what I mean. I will always stop reading for a late hug or kiss from one of the kids. Who could sacrifice an opportunity like that in their life? Just to take more time for me to relax and gather my thoughts into a journal or this blog.

So as I begin the countdown to the arrival of our third child, our first girl (still feels weird to have a girl!) I plan to begin to turn a focus toward the time I will have off with her, with my family, I dont have the answers as to what will happen after the next 60 days from when she arrives but I hope with an open mind and an open heart the answers will begin to come.

Been 10 Months and alots progressed

So its been 10 months since I've blogged anything. Thats pretty much becuase I have been here, there, everywherer, but on a farm! We are pregnant! Expecting #3 and this time around it is a girl. We were dually shocked even though Noah told us from the beginning that it was going to be a girl! What intuition he has! I love that boy! Today was our second U/S as I have to have them every four weeks and she is measuring ahead of schedule. I have a hunch that this one will come early but we'll see, only time will tell right?!

I am still in school finishing up my MBA, onto my last semester and looking forward to graduation on May 8th. I am cramming in three classes to finish up the last semester and graduate in time to be home with baby and the boys a bit more.

Joel and I are discussing our options of me staying home and just home schooling the kids. I am personally not looking forward to three kids in day care and we are currently not happy with the school system right now. They have given us a lot of empty promises and private school is not in the budget right now. Maybe when we hit the lottery or something! My thoughts would be to just take a year off then go back to work when both boys can be in school at the same time.

Joel is still at Pactiv working like a crazy horse, longer hours, more trips, and bringing his work home with him. Its hard to juggle his passion for work with family at times but he is pretty dedicated to showing the boys how to build things and last night when I got home from work later than usual found him teaching Noah some phonics through the use of scrabble pieces! Noah's catching on quick and has a true passion to learn how to read!

Noah and Morgan are both in the same preschool cruising through life. They both have an interesting relationship with each other but they are also quickly finding which buttons to push with each other. When push comes to shove they defend and work together as a team. Just this morning I caught them trying to sneak candy in a covert operation with each other under the table, I think the pounding on the floor gave it away followed by Morgan saying, "Shhhh mommy is going to hear you!" LOL!

The both of them are still trying to figure out how the baby is going to be born, where she is going to sleep when she's born, and what to name her. Noah has had a few good suggestions but all is well otherwise.

Christmas is rapidly approaching and it will be another quiet holiday this year as family is not coming until later in the afternoon. I think this will be our first Christmas morning without family in town. So I am looking forward to Joels traditional Cinammon Roll French Toast and making my homemade cinammon rolls on Christmas Eve with the boys. Better yet! Two weeks off of work sounds like the best present yet!

Happy Holidays!

Oh My I have been behind on this blog

In summary my life has been filled with school activities and organizations in the neighborhood that I am affiliated with. Last Friday we took Noah for an EEG becuase he had a probable focal seizure at school one day. We are still anxiously awaiting the results!! The waiting part I think is the hardest but for some reason I really do not fell that stressed about it.

I hope to get some Valentines day pictures up later this evening. I really do need to keep up on this blog a bit more.

Other than running around the usual day to day business that a family of four faces we are all doing well and holding steady. WE have a fun filled weekend planned to spend with the kids and to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday so it should be a great weekend! I just look forward to having Friday off with the boys!!

Sledding Saturday!

Today we took the boys out sledding. Since we were blessed with having so much snow bestowed upon us this past week we decided to go out and attack a few hills. I had to take a test at CSCC first (I of course did not study and probably did bomb this one - at least we can drop one!) Joel took the boys to find the last sled in town, literally! I think we may have to invest in some better ones in the coming years. In all we had fun and of course I did not last very long out in the cold! Brrrr I hate the cold!

In the morning we (aka Noah and Morgan) made some scrambled eggs and toast.

So before we got started Noah had to continue with his fascination of kicking the snow off of the truck. . . well, his foot got stuck in the sideboards so I laughed and he posed kindly for mom to record the moment on her camera!

Then down the hill they went!

Even mom and dad went down with each other. . .of course this is the ride down that the plastic sled did crack and by the time we got down to the bottom we had a sled full of snow in our laps! It was pretty funny!

Trip to see Grandma and Grandpa

We went to see the Abraham Lincoln museum this weekend and we had a lot of fun. There were no major meltdowns and to add to the fun we saw a train up close, played dress up, and even got to play in the snow for a little bit. A lot of fun in just three short days. I am not looking forward to the ride back home though. .. winter advisory's across the board.
